My First 80,000 Words

My First 80,000 Words is an illustrated dictionary of favourite words. 333 illustrators and graphic artists from more than twenty countries have each chosen a single word —one that, for whatever reason, could be considered their favourite—, the definition they found most interesting, and a square-format illustration using only two colours. Each word appears in its author's original language (only the definitions are translated) and they are arranged in alphabetical order.

Published by Media Vaca (Begoña Lobo and Vicente Ferrer) (1st edition, 2002), the book received the Best Valencian Book Award (2002) and was included in the White Ravens index of the Internationale Jugendbibliothek, Munich, presented at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
